Propless Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is awesome but you normally need so much stuff. Join this workshop to explore a yin yoga practice without extensive props. Using a towel or blanket to assist we’ll be slowly and gently stretching out and relaxing into poses.

Open to all levels
Bring two towels or blankets along. Yoga mats will be provided.

This is the workshop that would have been taught at Scapa Fest 2019 but it was too cold to lie still for long period that morning so we did a more dynamic class instead.

There are also a couple of one off classes to help you escape the fringe and relax or catch up with a missed class

Sunday 19th – 7-8pm

You can now buy a class pass for £30 for 4 classes to use within 60 days of your first class. Perfect if you can’t make it along for a few weeks or aren’t sure of your availability at the start of the month.

New beginners yin yoga class

A new beginners yin yoga course is starting on Wednesday 4th July from 6.15-7.15pm for a 4 week block.

Yin yoga is a slow style of yoga and works on the connective tissue, fascia, and deeper layers of muscles. Perfect for beginners in yoga and yin yoga this class will explore yin poses and help you find the perfect variation for your body.

Wear loose comfortable clothes. We hold positions for about five minutes so a light sweater or long sleeved top and socks may be useful.

Mats, Bolsters, blocks and blankets are provided.

Aromatherapy Yin

Breathe in the goodness of essential oils in a relaxing Yin Yoga practice.

Held on Saturday 10th February from 4-5.30pm, during this 90 minute class we’ll explore three different blends during our yin yoga practice to allow you to ground down, relax and leave fully refreshed.

The use of essential oils has been proven to provide numerous benefits such as improving physical health, increasing immunity and relieving emotional stress.

Tickets are £15 which includes a mini roller to take home, hand blended with a relaxing mix of oils to help you sleep.

This class is not suitable for pregnant women.

Yin Yoga January Courses

Booking for January courses are now open with only a few spaces remaining.

Wednesday 6.20-7.20pm – Yin Yoga for Flexibility – Starting 3rd January – 5 classes for £30 – 4 spaces remaining.

Monday 7-8pm – Yin Yoga – Starting 8th January – 4 classes for £24 – 2 spaces remaining.

Yin Yoga is a gentle style of yoga suitable for beginners and those with experience of yoga. Poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes with blocks, bolsters and other props used to support you in poses. Your flexibility will slowly and gently increase with these classes.
